Target
Detects human INSL6 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs and Western blots, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) INSL3 and rhINSL4 is observed.
Description
Monoclonal ISNL6 biotinylated. Insulin-like 6 (INSL6) is a member of the insulin family that is expressed in the testis by germ cells in the seminiferous tubules. Intracellular INSL6 is processed to a complex of two disulfide-linked peptides for secretion. Human and mouse INSL6 share 43% aa identity in the 213 aa, 28 kDa unprocessed form and 53% aa identity in the 64 aa, 8 kDa processed form. In biochemistry, biotinylation is the process of covalently attaching biotin to a protein, nucleic acid or other molecule. Biotinylation is rapid, specific and is unlikely to disturb the natural function of the molecule due to the small size of biotin (MW = 244.31 g/mol).
